Since its very beginning of establishment, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation has been implementing various projects and programmes in the social and healthcare fields. The primary objective of these programmes is to provide support to integration of children, including those who are in need, into the society. The Heydar Aliyev Foundation has also been implementing projects aiming to provide support to children deprived of parental care. Works carried out steadily and regularly in this sphere serve to creating a family environment for children deprived of parental care, ensuring the solution of their social problems, recreation of children at children homes and boarding schools, and improving education.

To this end, employees of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation pay regular visits to children homes and boarding schools and spend time with kids and juveniles, whom they treat as members of one family. On April 28, Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva came to Nursery No.1 in Nasimi district and visited kids being educated here.

Nursery No.1 in Nasimi District was basically repaired with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and re-commissioned into operation on May 10, 2015. Along with completely renewing the building and providing it with up-to-date equipment, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation has been covering the children residing here with constant care.
