It is obvious from these photos that AYOR has accompanied you in various corners of Azerbaijan even in the most scorching days of the summer, already left behind. An independent jury has done a difficult job to choose those photos that have reflected in more precise details the duty to show the rapidly changing image of the Azerbaijani nature, and our traditions”.

Winners were determined according to the results of the competition. The first place in the nomination of “Baku – Past, Present and Future” went to Panah Panahov, a student of the I.M.Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University. Student of the S.G.Stroganov Moscow State Industrial-Production Academy Mahar Maharramov was distinguished in the nomination of “My Homeland”. We paid a visit to the Alley of Honour, put flowers before the grave of Azerbaijan’s national leader Heydar Aliyev. We also had a meeting with Russian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Vladimir Dorokhin. He, talking about the embassy’s activity and education programmes in Azerbaijan, answered the students’ questions.

Our meeting with Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva has had an unforgettable impression un us. Leyla Aliyeva greeted each participant of the meeting in person. We shared our impressions of your city with her. Leyla Aliyeva talked about the activities of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, and charitable works. MSU students who had visited Baku remember Azerbaijan’s hospitality, kindness of the people, and the country’s rich culture with the feeling of amazement and gratitude. We are glad the cooperation between MSU’s Students Council with the Azerbaijani Youth Organization of Russia has been beneficial for our students. We are certain we will have more interesting projects in future.”
