Family values are deep-rooted in Azerbaijan, and have been passed down from generation to generation since time immemorial. Care of youngsters, and respect for the elderly are cherished traditions in our country.
Works under the project on reintroduction of gazelles into their previous natural habitat in Azerbaijan, being implemented following the initiative of Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of IDEA (International Dialogue for Environmental Action) Public Union Leyla Aliyeva, has been going on successfully. Within the framework of the project, 8 gazelles were released into the Saryja and Ajynohur fields of the Gakh State Reserve in 2010. Reintroduction of gazelles had continued in the following years too. As a result of recent observations has been established that the number of the gazelles on this territory has reached 71.
It is expected that the number of gazelles on the territory will be increased up to 100 to 150.
