An opening session of the 53^rd Munich Security Conference took place on February 17.

Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva followed the discussions held at the opening session.

At this reputable event, held at the initiative of chair of the Munich Security Conference, ambassador Wolfgang Ischinger, over 500 representatives - heads of states and governments, well-known politicians, businessmen and scientists – held discussions over the crisis facing international security, ways of their solution, and future calls.

The 53^rd Munich Security Conference will continue until February 19^th.
