A ceremony of farewell to well-known chemist-scientist of the republic, academician, doctor of chemistry, professor, Honoured Person of Science Rafiga Aliyeva took place, May 7, in the building of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Science (ANAS).

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva and family members attended the farewell ceremony.

The Head of the State and his spouse gave condolences to the deceased’s family members.

Eminent scientist, academician Rafiga Aliyeva was buried in the first Alley of Honour.
