Family values are deep-rooted in Azerbaijan, and have been passed down from generation to generation since time immemorial. Care of youngsters, and respect for the elderly are cherished traditions in our country.
Following the initiative of Leyla Aliyeva, the chairperson of the Azerbaijani Youth Organization of Russia (AYOR), a sports tournament called “Tourist assembly” was held in the suburban hotel “Pine River” in Kaluga region of the Russian Federation.
11 teams from higher schools of the Russian capital – the Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov (MSU), the Finance University under the RF Government, the High Economics School, the Russian Research Medical University named after N.I.Pirogov, the First Moscow State Medical University named after I.M.Sechenov (MSMU), the Russian Economics University named after G.V.Plekhanov (REU), the Russian National Economy and State Service Academy under the RF President (RNESSA), the State Administration University (SAU), the Moscow State Pedagogical University (MSPU), the Moscow State Humanitarian and Economic University (MSHEU) etc. – competed in the tournament for the title of the strongest and best team.
About 90 students - activists of AYOR - participated in the sports competitions, taking place in 9 phases: “Friroup”, “Skaladrom”, “Luchniy tir”, “Vysotniy gorodok”, “Turisticheskaya polosa”, “Splav na kanoe” etc.
According to the results of the games, “Gorilly” team of the First Moscow State Medical University named after I.M.Sechenov won. The winners were presented the cup and the right to cross the river by the rope way.
United “Pandy” team of the Russian Economics University named after G.V.Plekhanov and the State Administration University took the second place. “Tigry” team representing the MSPU was awarded the third place. “Koaly” team of the MSHEU and “Delfiny” team of RNESSA received awards for their active participation in the competitions, high level of discipline and team work.
After the sports tournament was over, a table of “Field cuisine” type was laid for the participants.
