President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin presents the “Pushkin” Medal to Leyla Aliyeva
Works have been carried out, following the initiative of Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva, to improve the education conditions of physically handicapped students studying at the State Art Academy.
On September 15, Leyla Aliyeva familiarized herself with the education conditions of students at the Art Academy.
It was underscored that improving education conditions for the physically handicapped students studying at the Art Academy, cultivating their talent has always been a focus of attention for the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. Form this standpoint, Vice-president of the Foundation Leyla Aliyeva has been holding regular meetings with students of the academy, giving recommendations on creativity. It was told that an elevator has been installed at the academy for physically handicapped students, and this will facilitate ascending and descending of students in need of special care to and from higher floors. Special conditions have been created for physically handicapped students also in the workshop of the academy.
At the moment, up to 30 physically handicapped students study at the State Art Academy. They distinguish themselves for their talents, worthily representing this education establishment at various international competitions. Physically handicapped students studying at the State Art Academy take active part also in exhibitions held at the Heydar Aliyev Centre. All in all, some 400 students have been admitted to the academy in the new academic year. In general, there are some 130 foreign students from Turkey, Russia, Pakistan, Macedonia etc. among the students.
Leyla Aliyeva wished the students of the Art Academy achievements in the new academic year, and in their creative activities.
The students and teaching staff of the academy thanked Leyla Aliyeva for the attention shown towards them.
