President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin presents the “Pushkin” Medal to Leyla Aliyeva
A Child Festival took place in the Heydar Aliyev Centre’s park, June 1.
Hundreds of tender-age children, including inmates of children’s homes and pupils of boarding schools operating in Baku and regions attended the event, held at the initiative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, with support from the Education Ministry and the Ministry of Transport, Communication and High Technologies.
The arrival of Leyla Aliyeva, the vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, cheered up children. Leyla Aliyeva talked and was photographed with children.
Everybody – little artists, dancers, sportsmen and musicians - showed their abilities at the festival.
Various entertainment programmes were presented for the little in the framework of the festival, hosted in connection with the International Child Protection Day.
The park of the Heydar Aliyev Centre reminded the world of fairy tales and wonder.
The territory of the park has been divided according to various themes and entertainment types. Here have been created an ice ground, dancing area, and various sports and art zones. On the area of Street art, children drew various pictures on asphalt, and on the Art area, they did them on easels. Boats competition took place for the first time in a lake in the Centre’s park, a rally was arranged using little cars, and a rollerdrome was created.
Children carried out a conventional search on the archaeological area, unearthing various archaeological finding models from under the sand, and made a trip to the animal world in “Safari tournament” and “Mini farm” areas. Along with wild animal models, children had a live contact with a number of animals in “Mini farm”.
In the Art Show zone, talented children studying at the Republican Child-Youth Development Centre presented samples of garments being their handicrafts.
In the labyrinth zone, children engaged in the direction-definition sport, spending their time joyfully. Children played also chess, participated in master classes on various types of sports such as football, basketball, volleyball, gymnastics, taekwondo, judo, athletics and fencing, demonstrating their skills and abilities. And on the relay-race ground, the little engaged in playing mini golf and archery, and tried themselves in intellectual contests.
In the framework of the festival, the Automobile Federation of Azerbaijan arranged trainings for children on traffic rules.
Interactive games and entertaining contests were arranged in the corner of the Ministry of Transport, Communication and High Technologies. Various gifts were presented to winners and participants of contests that were interesting for children.
At the same time, various interesting amusement facilities – trampolines, merry-go-rounds and swings were installed for children in the park.
The Disney Parade held with participation of animation film characters has enriched the fairy-tale world further. Children met their favourite characters, and had a good time together with them.
There was also a concert programme arranged for children. Child creativity centres and studios presented various songs, dances and scenes at the concert.
Creative children from children’s homes and boarding schools in Baku and regions, children in need of special care demonstrated dance samples and various handicrafts.
Various amusement facilities presented by “İmaginarium”, “The Entertainer” store networks, “Bolshoy prazdnik” and “Studyland” child centre and “Megafun” entertainment centre were placed at children’s disposal at the festival.
Children had a chance to demonstrate their skills and abilities during three hours of festivity, along with celebrating the holiday with ample entertainments, and made new friends.
The festival in the Heydar Aliyev Centre’s park will continue on June 2 from 16.00 to 19.00. Entrance into the area and use of facilities are free of charge.
