At the ceremony, the Governor of the Astrakhan Oblast Alexander Zhilkin noted that the Astrakhanets and Azerbaijan are united by the Caspian Sea and the goal is to keep the nature which surrounds all of us.
Therefore, today dynamics of development of the relations between Russia and Azerbaijan are at high level. The evidence to that is opening of the Druzhba Bridge, the childrens small town, laying of stone on the place of future monument to sacred Prince Vladimir, the Governor said.
He expressed gratitude on behalf of Astrakhanets to the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, the Azerbaijani state and Heydar Aliyev Foundation for the projects realized in Astrakhan, for the efforts directed on strengthening of the relations between two countries.
Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva thanked for the high award. “Astrakhan is a nice city, but most of all I like people here. Ahead we’ll have a lot of projects”, Leyla Aliyeva stressed.
Then, the Russian and Azerbaijani figures of arts gave a concert. People’s Artist of Azerbaijan Polad Bulbuloglu took part at the concert.
