Family values are deep-rooted in Azerbaijan, and have been passed down from generation to generation since time immemorial. Care of youngsters, and respect for the elderly are cherished traditions in our country.
A residential building constructed following the Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s initiative in Nizami district of Baku for young school-leavers of children homes and boarding schools was commissioned, September 26.
Azerbaijan’s First Lady, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva, her daughters Leyla and Arzu Aliyevas attended the inauguration of the building.
The new building has been intended for young married couples that have for a number of years worked at production sites of the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic and distinguished themselves in work. There are 68 apartments in the building. 34 out of them are one-room, 32 two-room and the remaining three-room apartments. They have been provided with furnishings, kitchen, bedroom and guest room furniture, a fridge, gas oven and a washing machine. Trees and shrubs have been planted in the courtyard of the building and play grounds built.
Mehriban Aliyeva talked with family members of a young couple that had been given an apartment around a tea table, and enquired about the new apartment owners’ life and social conditions, as well as their concerns. The First Lady said implementation of such projects will be the focus of attention in the future too.
Owners of new apartments thanked Mehriban Aliyeva for the care and attention shown towards them.
