Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, First Lady, Chairperson of Baku-2015  1^st European Games Organizing Committee Mehriban Aliyeva and family members watched karate competitions held in Baku Crystal Hall within the framework of the 1^st European Games, June 13^th. 

Azerbaijani sportsman Firdovsi Farzaliyev gained the title of a champion of the 1^st European Games on Kumite type of karate in 60-kilogram weight category.

President Ilham Aliyev presented medals to the winners.

In the competitions on Kumite type of karate in 75-kilogram weight category, Azerbaijani sportsman Rafael Aghayev was the winner. 

Mehriban Aliyeva presented medals to the winners.

In 67-kilogram weight category, Azerbaijani karateka Niyazi Aliyev took the 3^rd place.

Another medal was won in karate competitions by our woman-sportsman Ilaha Gasymova. She won the 3^rd place in the 55-kilogram weight category competitions.
