President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin presents the “Pushkin” Medal to Leyla Aliyeva
On June 4, inhabitants of Republican Special Boarding School No.3 for children with impaired health condition paid a visit to IDEA’s Animal Care Centre.
Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of IDEA Public Association Leyla Aliyeva attended the event.
Children made themselves familiarized with the conditions created for animals, and the activity of IDEA’s Animal Care Centre. Various entertaining programmes and a dinner was arranged for children, then gifts from the Heydar Aliyev Foundation were presented to them.
The documentary called “Azerbaijan. Rescuing Gazelles” by IDEA Public Association was shown to children with sign language translation. A photo-exhibition, comprised of photos filmed by film director Igor Byshnyov during the shootings, was arranged.
The objective of the event was, along with ensuring that children spend their leisure in an interesting and entertaining environment, to instil in children, from early ages, aspiration for taking care of the nature and its resources, as well as approaching domestic animals with love and humanism.
IDEA Public Association, which has been implementing large-scale projects aiming to involve the youth in ecological issues and ensure that they contribute to the protection of the environment and join actions towards combatting ecological challenges, started its activity On July 12, 2011.
