We've been setting this exhibition up for nearly two years. I believe that its language – the language of Art – eloquently conveys the great accomplishments our country has made in all spheres of achievement.
On December 22, a New Year festivity was hosted in Zira Culture Centre for children requiring special care, those deprived of parental protection, children from refugee and IDP families, and those with restricted health conditions.
Jointly arranged by IDEA Public Association and the State Committee for Family, Woman and Child Issues, the festivity was attended by Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of IDEA Public Association Leyla Aliyeva.
At the event, joined also by participants of the Azerbaijani Children’s 4th Republican Forum, held with joint organizational support from the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the State Committee for Family, Woman and Child Issue and the UN Children Fund, children had a good time and danced.
Leyla Aliyeva’s entertaining herself together with children and being photographed with them inspired children more.
Leyla Aliyeva congratulated the children, wishing them successes.
Participants of the Azerbaijani Children’s 4th Republican Forum thanked Azerbaijan’s First Vice-president Mehriban Aliyeva and Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva for the support provided in the organization of the event.
Forum participants presented a kelaghayi to Leyla Aliyeva.
Children participating in the event were presented New Year gifts by IDEA Public Association.
Then children were given information about the Resource Centre located in the Zira Culture Centre. They familiarized themselves with education rooms, a gymnastics hall, and art-video studios. Ancient Azerbaijani carpets made pleasant impression on the children.
Thereafter, the documentary “A Bird Paradise – the Aghgol National Park” from the series of “9 Wonders of Azerbaijan”, IDEA’s special project, was demonstrated.
Children walking in the Centre’s eco-park were given information about various types of birds being preserved here.
Trees and shrubs were planted in the Centre’s backyard, in the framework of the event, with a view to attracting children to preservation of flora and instilling in them love and care towards nature since early ages.
The purpose of organizing this event was to attract the active youth to the protection of environment, regardless of their age, and support them in their joining the struggle for protection of the nature and developing their leadership abilities in this sphere.
