A   Festival of Flowers is held in the park before the Heydar Aliyev Palace and the City Central Park behind it on the occasion of the 92nd anniversary of Heydar Aliyev, the national leader of the Azerbaijani people, a world-renowned political person.       

On May 10th, the 92nd anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev, the architect and builder of the independent Azerbaijan, an eminent sate person, is marked.      

Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva attended the inauguration of the exhibition “The Union of Fire and Water” presented by YARAT Contemporary Art Centre within the framework of the 56th Venice Biennale.

Inauguration of two exhibitions took place, May 6, with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and IDEA (International Dialogue for Environmental Action) Public Association, within the framework of the 56th Venice Biennale – an International Art Exhibition.

On April 26, the flame of the Baku-2015 European Games was lit.

Presentation of the documentary “Birds Paradise – Aghgol National Park” from the series “9 Miracles of Azerbaijan”, a project by IDEA Public Association, took place at Nizami Cinema Centre, April 24.       

       

On April 22, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and his spouse, Chairperson of the Baku-2015 First European Games Organizing Committee  Mehriban Aliyeva, and Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva acquainted themselves with the conditions created at the Heydar Aliyev Sports Palace after major repair.
