A memorial event commemorating Heydar Aliyev, National Leader of the Azerbaijani people, was held in Baku.  

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva, and their daughter Leyla Aliyeva visited the Alley of Honors to commemorate National Leader Heydar Aliyev, as December 12 marks the 22nd anniversary of the passing of the architect and founder of the modern and independent Azerbaijani state, world-renowned politician, and National Leader of the Azerbaijani people.  

On December 11, Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder and head of the IDEA Public Union, together with Minister of Health Teymur Musayev, visited the Ministry of Health’s Children’s Tuberculosis Sanatorium No. 5.  

On December 11, the opening ceremony of the Bone Marrow Transplantation Unit was held at Liv Bona Dea Hospital.  

On December 10, Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, met with Saida Mirziyoyeva, Head of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, on the margins of the international conference titled “The Role of Women in Modern Society: Promoting International Cooperation for Sustainable Development” in Turkmenistan. The meeting emphasized that bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, as well as cooperation between the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Zamin International Public Foundation, contribute to the development of high-level ties between the two countries. The sides underlined the importance of the international conference in Turkmenistan in promoting the active involvement of women in political and economic life, as well as expanding multilateral dialogue and partnerships. The discussion also highlighted the significance of strengthening the role of women across various sectors, including education and healthcare, to ensure sustainable development.

On December 10, an international conference titled “The Role of Women in Modern Society: Promoting International Cooperation for Sustainable Development” was held in the Awaza National Tourist Zone in Turkmenbashi, Turkmenistan.    

The Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).  

During her visit to Turkmenistan, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva attended the performance of the “Galkynysh” National Equestrian Games Group in Turkmenbashi on December 9 and visited an exhibition dedicated to Turkmen national cuisine.  

On December 9, the opening ceremony of the Awaza branch of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship took place in Turkmenbashi, Turkmenistan.  

A Women’s Creativity Forum was held in Baku as part of the ongoing “OIC Cultural Festival: Baku Creative Week-2025,” organized by the Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), in partnership with the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
