Shirvan

First of all we should state that the place where Ali-Bayramli locates now has very interesting history. Beginning with the 2nd-3rd centuries till the Middle Ages the ancient caravan ways crossed today's place of location of Ali-Bayramli and related all the territories of Azerbaijan. The fact is proved by a caravanserai and ruins of tens of settlements near this place.

In different times the abovementioned territory was attached to Shirvanshahs, Shirvan beylerbeyi(territorial unit governed by beys-the nobles), Shamakhi khanate, partially to Javad khanate, to Shamakhi gaza(territorial unit) and to Javad gaza.

I Shah Ismail Khatai , who purposed to unite small states and establish strong state of Azerbaijan moved on caravan road that passed through today's Ali-Bayramli and spent winter in the town Mahmudabad in the second half of 1500.

There are "Martyrs avenue", the monument "January 20", the complex "Yanar Urek"(burning heart ), the monument of Shirin Shukurov-the Hero of the Soviet Union, "Gemgin ana" (sad mother) and "Memorial complex on 55th year anniversary of the victory over fascism" in the city.

One may also find here the monuments of Azerbaijan poets Mahammad Fuzuli and Samed Vurgun, the monumental complex of Dada Gorgud and the museum of the History-Ethography.

The park of "Genjlik gozellik", "Heydar Aliyev" avenue, the square "Heydar Aliyev" built in the honour of the 75th birthday of the national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev, the garden "Samed Vurgun", park in the name of "Fuzuli", place of recreation in the name of Narimanov, the park in the name of Ismet Gayibov, the avenue "Mahammad Amin Resulzadeh" and other green zones reflect Tugay forests and the landscape of Shirvan and Mugan and are the favourite place for people recreation.

50 youth organizations, 5 sport federations, Children and Youth Sport School, "Shirvan" football club play leading role in development of Olympia movement and formation of mental perfection and physical health of the youth.
