New Year celebrations are held at Buta Palace, December 27 to 29, with organizational support from the Heydar Aliyev Foundation,  for children being brought up in children’s homes and boarding schools, orphans and children deprived of parental care, including those in Association of Persons with Down Syndrome, a rehabilitation centre for children in need of special care, general education school of humanitarian sciences named after A.S. Makarenko, Psychoneurological Children’s Home, republican secondary school for blind and visually impaired children, and those especially distinguished in education. Buses have been arranged by the Foundation to ensure transportation of children to and from the celebrations.

In anticipation of the New Year, on 27 December vice president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyev visited children’s house No 1 in the Nasimi district of Baku. Leyla Aliyeva was informed that this building was constructed in 1930 and was turned into a children’s house in two years.  

Charity actions were held in connection with the New Year, following the initiative of Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, head of the Foundation’s Russian Representative Office Leyla Aliyeva, in Moscow and more than 25 regions of Russia. The Russian Representative Office of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation treats children deprived of parental care and diseased children with special care, and they never remain without attention on the eve of holidays.

On the eve of New Year Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva met with the children at the Children`s Psycho-Neurological Center in Narimanov District of Baku. Taking care of children is a priority of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
