Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder and head of IDEA (International Dialogue for Environmental Action) Public Union, participated in discussions titled “Investing in Education for Climate Resilience: Strengthening Early Development and Environmental Literacy”. The event was co-organized by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) and IDEA Public Union as part of COP29.

The Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of IDEA (International Dialogue for Environmental Action) Public Union, Leyla Aliyeva, has visited the pavilion of the “Fighting for International Nautical Species” (FINS) initiative at the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) ). The pavilion is dedicated to the importance of protecting marine life and stepping up international effort in this direction.  

Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and Founder and Head of IDEA (International Dialogue for Environmental Action) Public Union, participated in a panel discussion titled “BRI South-South Cooperation on Climate Change and Green Opening Up: Cases and Practices.” The event was co-organized by the Belt and Road Initiative International Green Development Coalition (BRIGC), the China Council for International Cooperation on Environment and Development (CCICED), and the China Intercontinental Communication Center as part of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.

IDEA (International Dialogue for Environmental Protection) Public Union in partnership with the Clean Air Fund organized a panel discussion titled "Clean Air for Children`s and Newborn`s Health” during COP29.

MAMA "Mother Nature” International Art Project, calling for environmental protection, and "Participate!" exhibition have opened at the Heydar Aliyev Center.  

A new publication of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation dedicated to Azerbaijan was presented as part of COP29 in Baku on November 13.

On November 12, Ilham Aliyev, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, hosted a reception at the Gulustan Palace in Baku in honor of the heads of state and government attending the opening ceremony of the World Leaders Climate Action Summit at the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.
