On July 7th, Concerts by “Natig” Rhythm Group and the Azerbaijan State Dance Ensemble  took place at La Croisette Boulevard of the city of Cannes, France, within the Days of Azerbaijani Culture.

The days of culture entitled “Azerbaijan in Cannes” was launched in the French city of Cannes, July 4th.

On the eve of the inauguration of an exhibition comprised of works by Andy Warhol, a famous artist of the 20th century, to take place with joint support from the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Andy Warhol Museum on June 21st at the Heydar Aliyev Center within the framework of the joint project by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Heydar Aliyev Center, a catalogue covering the reproduction of the world renowned artist’s works has been printed out in Azerbaijani and English.

Another action called “Blood has no nationality” was held in Moscow, June 14, following the initiative of Leyla Aliyeva, the Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, chairperson of the Azerbaijani Youth Organization of Russia (AYOR), and with support from the I.M.Sechenov First Moscow  State Medical University.

On June 8, inauguration of the centre for children and youth with impaired vision in Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, was inaugurated after reconstruction with support from the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva, state officials of Bosnia and Herzegovina attended the inauguration ceremony.

IDEA, International Dialogue for Environmental Action, campaign has held an interactive workshop titled “Azerbaijani ecosystems and landscape diversity” on the occasion of the World Environment Day.

Following the initiative of Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva, pupils of Azerbaijani Ethno-cultural Component School №157 named after Karim Karimov in Moscow and alumni of Sunday schools of the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour and the Saint Danilov Monastery were invited to the ceremony of changing the cavalry and infantry guards at Moscow Kremlin’s Church square.  

Official inauguration of the Azerbaijani hall took place with organizational support from the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in the framework of the 55th World Fine Arts Exhibition – the Venice Biennale, May 31.

An exhibition of modern art of Azerbaijan and neighbouring countries was opened, within the framework of the 55th International Venice Biennale, in the city of Venice of Italy, May 30.

On the initiative of Leyla Aliyeva - Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, and Chair of the AYOR (the Azerbaijan Youth Organisation of Russia), the annual AMOR competition “Who? Where? When?” was held once again in Moscow.
